Effects of host nutrition on bacterial blight infection of paddy

Abstract

Nitrogen could affect the disease development of bacterial blight of rice slgnificantly, while phosphorus and potassium had little or no affect. Increase in nitrogen application caused significant increases in lesion length. At 80 lbsN/acre,the lesion length was significantly less than at 120 and 160 lbsN/acre.
