Abstract
Cobalt deficiency in Kedah-Kelantan cattle was discovered on a fertilized grass/legume pasture. Livestock changes before treatment and the responses to cobalt, vitamin B12, copper and Terramcyin treatments are described. There was a dramatic increase in liveweight gain as a result of vitamin B12 and cobalt administration, but there were no effects from copper or Terramycin. The practical significance for the Malaysian cattle industry is discussed.
