Bacterial wilt control in tomato using household disinfectants

Abstract

Two cheap and commonly available household disinfectants were found to be effective in reducing the bacterial wilt incidence of tomato These disinfectants were bleaching powder (sodium hypochlorite) and Jeypine (benyl chlorophenol). The yield data obtained supported the superiority of these two chemicals over other chemicals tested.
