ALONG QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF CRUDE PALM OIL PROCESSING LINE IN THE MILL

SUMMARY

The quality of palm oil samples taken from various stages in a processing mill was assessed together with their monthly variations throughout a year. Results showed little change in the oil during processing, however oil taken from storage tank indicated significant drop in quality. The significance of this deterioration at the storage stage indicate a need for further study into storage conditions so as to maintain a good quality oil throughout.
