Yield performance of exotic Robusta coffee clones

Abstract

An evaluation of 13 exotic Robusta coffee clones in Kedah showed two of them (IC 5 and SA 237) to be promising. The average potential yearly green bean yield over 4 years for both clones were the same (1.27 t/ha). These yields were not significantly different from one of the checks, MKR 4 (1.52 t/ha). The 100-green bean weight of SA 237 (20.18 g) was significantly heavier than both checks (18.23 g for MKR 2 and 14.33 g for MKR 4) while IC 5 (16.12 g) was significantly heavier than MKR 4.
