Comparative study of padi yield loss due to Echinochloa crus-galli infestation and Leptocorisa oratorius attacks

Abstract

The presence of both insect Leptocorisa oratorius ( Fabricius) and weed, Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Beauv. in direct-seeded padi were studied. Initially, L. oratorius fed on E. uus-galli and later on padi. The effects of both pests in direct seeding culture were discussed.
