Abstract

Atrazine at 1.68 kg. a.i/ha controlled weeds for periods of 10,10 and 9 weeks for the first, second and third rounds of spraying respectively1.Cyperus zollingeri Steud and Algeratun conyzoides L. were poorly controlled but the other weeds were adequately controlled. Three rounds of atrazine, each at 1.68 kg. a.i./ha did not reduce the yield and fruit quality of pineapple when compared with twelve monthly rounds of handweeding with a tajak.
