Abstract

For each of a selection of oil palm fertilizer trials carried out on both coastal and inland soils in West Malaysia by several different organizations,a polynomial which takes into account curvilinear response to N, P, K and Mg fertilizers and two and three factor interactions between treatments, has been satisfactorily fitted to cummulative fresh fruit bunch yield data. From these fitted polynomials, the average yield response behaviour of oil palm to individual fertilizers, at non-limiting levels of other fertilizers, on coastal and inland soils, has been determined.
